I am Derek Heinz's daughter and I love this book!! And not just because it's my dad's. This book shows different cultures and different kinds of families which I think is awesome!!! this book has the best illustrations of nature and shows bonding from father to kid.
A touching story that is wonderfully illustrated. The diverse representation of father-child relationships are marvelous. Love that the story is told from a father's view as most stories have a mother's perspective. Highly recommend!!!!!

What a fantastic book, with beautiful illustrations. I enjoy how multiple ethnicities are represented through the Dad and daughter. Your child will be pointing to all sorts of leaves, birds, bikes, etc. A great teaching/learning tool in that way.
